So you’re headed to RSA to see and hear all about the latest and greatest in security. All the information you could ever want and all the people you most need to meet will be there.
The catch? The conference only lasts three days. You’ve got to make sure you spend that precious time wisely, so here’s how to make sure you get the most out of your visit.
1. Plan ahead.
There’s dozens of great sessions and seminars being put on, many at the same time. To make sure you don’t miss out on the ones you most want to attend, be sure to check the schedule beforehand. Pick out which sessions you want to see, and go early to the bigger ones to save a seat.
2. Pack right.
You’ll want to have comfortable shoes for all the walking you’ll be doing, business cards for the people you’ll be meeting, a phone charger, and most of all, a secure WiFi connection. Security conferences are an appealing target for hackers, after all.
3. Leave room in your suitcase.
Why? Because you’re going to be walking away with a whole load of free swag.
Make sure you’ll be able to bring it all back home with you.
4. Download the conference app
The app will keep you updated on any last-minute events or schedule changes.
5. Stop by the exhibition hall.
There’s a lot more to see than just the official presentations, so set aside time to check out the booths at the exhibition hall. You can check the maps for the north and south expo to decide who you might like to see. Be sure to visit SparkCognition at booth 4535, too!
Don’t be that person who doesn’t know what sessions are being put on, or whose phone battery dies halfway through the day. Keep all these tips in mind, and you’ll be ready to ace RSA. Your peace of mind will thank you for it.
